Wilmington Shooting Leaves One Hospitalized

Wilmington Police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the early Thursday morning. At approximately 12:42 a.m., officers responded to the area of West 2nd and North Franklin Streets, where they discovered a 31-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Following initial investigations, authorities have confirmed that the injury resulted from a shooting within their jurisdiction. The incident remains under active investigation, and further details will be released as they become available police said Friday.

Officials did not report this shooting on the day it occurred as they normally would.
