Troopers Confirm Bank Was Robbed On Tuesday

Delaware State Police have updated an incident that we first told you about on Tuesday.

DSP is investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the WSFS Bank in Wilmington.

Officials said on July 16, 2024, at approximately 2:51 p.m., troopers responded to the WSFS Bank, located at 4601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown white male suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note to the bank teller. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Troopers attempted to locate the suspect in the surrounding area but were unable to find him.

The suspect is described as an unknown white male wearing a black mask.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident.
