Man Charged With Injuring Two EMTs

Delaware State Police have arrested 26-year-old William Urspruch of Chestertown, Maryland for assault and offensive touching at Phish Mondegreen Festival in Dover.

Officials said on August 16, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., troopers on duty at Phish Mondegreen Festival were notified that an attendee, identified as William Urspruch, was under the influence, and acting erratically.

While medical personnel were treating Urspruch, he punched an EMT and bit another according to police. Urspruch was ultimately taken to an area hospital. The EMT’s suffered minor injuries.

After Urspruch was released from the hospital, he was taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with Assault 2nd, injuring an EMT (Felony) and Offensive Touching of an EMT. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released after posting a $3,000 secured bond.
