Delaware State Police are investigating a serious motorcycle accident that occurred Wednesday morning in Sussex County.
The crash took place at approximately 11:15 AM at the intersection of Hummingbird Road and Holly Tree Road in Ellendale.
The incident involved a male rider who was reportedly struck in a T-bone type collision with another vehicle. Emergency services, including the Ellendale Fire Department, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2, responded to the scene.
The rider, who sustained critical injuries, was airlifted to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center via Trooper 2 in critical condition.
