Woman Injured In Crash Involving A Bus Stop

BEAR, Del. – Just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, emergency crews from the Christiana Fire Company responded to a vehicle accident involving entrapment at the intersection of Bear Christiana Road and Newtown Road.

Upon arrival, responders located a woman in her 30s who had crashed into a bus stop. She sustained serious injuries and was extricated from the vehicle before being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Although specific details have not yet been confirmed, there are indications that police activity was occurring in the area prior to the arrival of fire and EMS personnel. Authorities have not released further information regarding the circumstances of the crash or the nature of the prior police presence.

The incident remains under investigation.
