Body Found In Cecil County As Nola Dinkins Investigation Continues

A body has been discovered in Cecil County, Maryland, as authorities continue the search for a missing 3-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Delaware.

Maryland State Police confirmed the recovery but stated that the identity of the individual has not yet been determined. Investigators are awaiting positive identification to confirm whether the body is that of Nola Dinkins. It’s believed that the body was located in a park in the Perryville area.

Authorities continue the search for 3-year-old Nola Dinkins following a reported abduction that has since led to a Maryland homicide detectives taking over the case.

The child was first reported missing Tuesday night, prompting an Amber Alert that was later canceled Wednesday morning after official said investigators determined the abduction claim was false.

Nola’s mother, Darrian Randle, is reportedly facing charges for filing a false police report to police. Although New Castle County Police initially classified the case as a homicide investigation, Maryland State Police have not confirmed whether the child is deceased.

Nola Dinkins lived in Cecil County, Maryland, with her mother, leading Maryland authorities to believe she may still be in the area. Police were observed searching parks, neighborhoods, and other locations in Elkton and Perryville on Wednesday.

The mother is reportedly cooperating with investigators. However, Nola has not been located officials said.
