Nola’s Mom Held On Million Dollar Bond In Delaware

On Tuesday evening, at approximately 7:15 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Gender Road for a reported kidnapping. Nola’s mother, 31-year-old Darrian Randle of Newark, advised that she had pulled over after Nola became upset and was attempting to comfort her when an unknown white male armed with a handgun approached the vehicle and took Nola. The suspect then fled in a dark-colored SUV driven by a white female.

An Amber Alert was issued for 3-year-old Nola, prompting an overnight investigation by the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit and the FBI. Detectives later determined Darrian’s account was false. Earlier today, the Amber Alert was canceled. The case is now being investigated as a homicide and has been turned over to the Maryland State Police.

Officials said a body has been discovered in Cecil County, Maryland, as authorities continue the search for a missing 3-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Delaware.

Maryland State Police confirmed the recovery but stated that the identity of the individual has not yet been determined. Investigators are awaiting positive identification to confirm whether the body is that of Nola Dinkins. It’s believed that the body was located in a park in the Perryville area.

Darrian, who was being interviewed at the New Castle County Police Headquarters, has been charged with One count of felony Falsely Reporting. She was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of $1,000,000.00 cash bail.
