The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation in Frankford after a woman was found dead yesterday.
Officials said on June 30, 2025, at approximately 2:26 p.m., troopers responded to the 34000 block of Zion Church Road in Frankford to check the welfare of a 37-year-old woman after she had not been contacted for several days.
When troopers arrived, they found the woman with an apparent fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified. Due to the nature of the incident, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation police said. Detectives believe there is no threat to public safety.
