Man, Teenager Charged In Drive-By Shooting

DOVER, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested 41-year-old Tyrell Clark and a 16-year-old female, both of Dover, for multiple felony charges stemming from a drive-by shooting that took place in Rodney Village in May.

Officials said on May 3, 2025, at approximately 4:51 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the 300 block of Samuel Paynter Drive following reports of gunfire. The investigation showed that an unknown vehicle stopped in front of a residence and fired multiple rounds before fleeing the scene police said. No injuries were reported, but the residence sustained damage.

Following investigative efforts, authorities identified Clark and the 16-year-old as suspects in the incident. Arrest warrants were subsequently obtained for both individuals.

Clark, who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to prior convictions, was taken into custody on June 27, 2025. He was transported to Troop 3, where he was formally charged and later arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on an $83,000 cash bond. Clark faces four counts of felony Reckless Endangering in the First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited due to a Prior Violent Crime or Felony, Conspiracy in the Second Degree, and Criminal Mischief involving damage between $1,000 and $5,000.

The 16-year-old female turned herself in at Troop 3 on July 16, 2025. She was charged with four counts of felony Reckless Endangering in the First Degree, Conspiracy in the Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Mischief involving damage ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released to the custody of a parent or guardian on her own recognizance.
