He Thought No One Was Watching, Police Say Trail of Evidence Told a Different Story

New Castle County Police have arrested a Bear man in connection with a series of overnight thefts from vehicles in a Glasgow-area townhome community.

The investigation began on April 28, 2026, when officers with the New Castle County Division of Police responded to Lockhaven Court in the Glasgow Pines Townhomes community for reports of thefts from motor vehicles. Detectives determined that at least five vehicles had been unlawfully entered during overnight hours, with personal property reported stolen.

Through evidence collection and follow-up investigation, officers identified 23-year-old Salih Frink of Bear as the suspect. On April 29, 2026, officers responded to a residence on Rue Madora in the Pine Woods community, where Frink was located along with property reported stolen from the affected vehicles.

Frink was taken into custody without incident and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters. He was charged with five felony counts of burglary in the third degree, two felony counts of attempted burglary in the third degree, one felony count of theft under $1,500 involving victims 62 years of age or older, three misdemeanor counts of theft under $1,500, and three misdemeanor counts of attempted theft under $1,500.

Following arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court, Frink was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
