Out On Bond When Police Pulled Him Over, What They Found Led To Arrest

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody following a vehicle stop that led to the recovery of a loaded handgun, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred on April 28 at approximately 3:45 p.m., when members of the department’s Gun Intelligence Unit were conducting patrol operations in the area of West 29th and North Washington Streets. Officers observed a male subject behaving suspiciously as he entered a vehicle.

Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 3400 block of North Tatnall Street for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, officers made contact with the individual, identified as 19-year-old Ryshine Holloman. He was taken into custody without incident. A loaded 9mm handgun was recovered during the encounter.

Holloman has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and breach of conditions of bond during commitment. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $70,000 cash-only bail.
