Gunman Robbed Man At Folk Park – Newark

Newark Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Folk Park on July 13th at approximately 7:30pm.

During that incident, the victim, a 39 year old male, was at Folk Park and returned to his vehicle to retrieve an item.

While at his vehicle, a black male suspect opened the passenger side of his vehicle, sat down in the passenger seat and displayed a black handgun.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim’s wallet before fleeing by foot towards Cobblefield Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” – 5’11”, 130 lbs, early 20s, armed with a black handgun.

The victim was not injured.
