Arrest In Dover’s Queen Street Shooting

Dover – Philadelphia Police have arrested Quashaun Christy, 22, in connection with the fatal shooting of a Dover man. The shooting occurred on Queen Street  on the night of August 18th at approximately 9:34 p.m., police said.  Police said Christy, along with other unknown suspects, illegally entered the apartment of the victim, Emmitt Brown with the intent to commit a robbery.

Once inside, multiple gunshots were exchanged between the suspects and the occupants in the home, authorities said.  Police said that during this exchange, Brown was mistakenly struck by gunfire and later died from his injuries.

Quashaun Christy is currently being held in Pennsylvania after being taken into custody by the Philadelphia Police Department at the request of the Dover Police Department on August 23rd.  Once Christy is extradited to Delaware, he will be charged with Home Invasion, Robbery 1st Degree, Conspiracy 1st Degree, Reckless Endangering and Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony.
