Dover Police Department arrested 20 year old Lewis Foreman on Friday night following a vehicle pursuit, police said. According to authorities officers from the Street Crimes Unit attempted to stop Foreman in the 300 Block of Fulton Street at 9:00 p.m., knowing he was wanted for violation of probation for removing GPS ankle monitor.
Police say that Foreman fled in the vehicle he was operating as officers pursued him. Foreman drove to the area of Woodcrest Apartments, on Woodcrest Drive, where he fled from the vehicle on foot, officials said. Responding officers located Foreman on the roof of “F” building of 858 Woodcrest Drive, police said.
Foreman was taken into custody with no further incident. Police also said that a search of the vehicle he was operating led to the discovery of six grams of marijuana. Foreman was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $2,850 secured bond for disregard police officer signal, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, trespass 2nd degree, multiple traffic violations and violation of probation.
