Police: Wilmington Man Intentionally Ran Over Woman With Car

Smyrna – Smyrna Police is seeking help in locating Jarmall Williams, 38 whose last known address is on Todds Lane in Wilmington.  Mr Williams is also known to frequent the Smyrna area and has also been known to use the name James Williams.

Police say that on July 27, 16 at approximately 12:40 a.m.  Smyrna officers responded to the area of the Salvation Army store parking lot located at 16 East Mount Vernon Street, in Smyrna, for a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries involved.  Upon arrival, Officers located a female victim who had been struck by a vehicle which fled, police said.  This victim was suffering from serious trauma to her lower extremities and she has since been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to police the investigation revealed that Jarmall Williams intentionally struck the victim with the motor vehicle he was driving and then fled the area.

Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Williams charging him with Assault 1st degree, Reckless Endangering 1st degree, Leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury, Driving while Suspended, Reckless Driving and Failure to report a collision resulting in injury.
