Felton – The Delaware State Police Kent Drug Unit arrested two people after a month long investigation into illegal drug sales from two residences west of Felton, according to authorities.
Troopers said that on Friday, August 25, 2016, the Kent County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence located in the unit block of Sandalwood Drive, Felton.
When detectives arrived at the Sandalwood address, Garry Church was located and taken into custody as he attempted to leave in his vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and residence resulting in the seizure of over 251 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, troopers said.
Authorities said the investigation led detectives to a second address in the unit block of Cabin Ridge Road, Felton where Allan Dewitt was located and taken into custody. A search of the Cabin Ridge Road residence resulted in the seizure of over 91 grams of marijuana, over $2000.00 in suspected drug sale proceeds and a handgun, police said.
Garry Church, 19 of Felton, was transported to Troop 3 and charged with Three Counts of Drug Dealing, Possession of Tier 1 marijuana, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on$21,100.00 unsecured bond.
Allan Dewitt, 21 of Felton, was transported to Troop 3 and was charged with Drug Dealing, Possession of a Tier 1 marijuana, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $7,100.00 unsecured bond.
