Victims Turn The Table On Would-be Robber, Shots Fired

Dover Police Department said that they arrested Riley Braswell, 18, last week after he attempted to rob two 22-year-old men.  Police said that at approximately 2:25 p.m., on Wednesday August 10, 2016, two males were walking on Ridgely Street, when approached by Riley Braswell.

Braswell displayed a handgun and demanded the victims turn over property, according to authorities.  Police said that the victims fought off Braswell, who then fired multiple times at the victims.  One of the victims was legally open-carrying a firearm and fired back at Braswell.

No one was injured during the exchange and Braswell was arrested without incident a short time later by police.  Braswell was committed to JTVCC in default of $180,000 secured bond on the two counts first degree robbery,  two counts reckless endangering first degree, possession of deadly weapon during commission of felony, carry concealed deadly weapon and and possession of firearm by person prohibited
