Newark – The Delaware State Police said that a crash occurred this yesterday, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at approximately 2:13 p.m., as David Reed, 19, of Newark, was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson X8N motorcycle and was traveling in a westbound direction on DE SR 273 (Ogletown Road) approaching the intersection of DE SR 4, according to Public Information Officer- Master Corporal Jeffrey R. They were then transported by EMS to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center, where Reed was admitted with serious life-threatening injuries. His female passenger was also admitted with serious non-life threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
David Reed was treated on scene by the Paramedics for a head injury, abrasions and possible internal injuries, before being transported to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, in critical condition, according to New Castle County Spokesman Haas.
The second patient, an 18 year old female was treated on scene by the Paramedics for an arm injury and back pain, before being transported to the Christiana Hospital, in serious condition. The Delaware State Police were on scene investigating the incident.
