Video: Cyclist Hit By Car In Dover

Dover – The Dover Police Department is seeking help in identifying a vehicle/suspect from a hit and run accident that occurred on Sunday morning, September 4th.

Police said that at approximately 5:53 AM, a bicyclist was traveling southbound on US RT 13 between Division Street and Loockerman Street in the bicycle lane.

At this time, what appears to be a silver sedan, is also traveling southbound in the far right lane, next to the bicycle lane.  The video below shows the vehicle suddenly swerve to the right, striking the cyclist.

You cannot see the collision in the video, only the movement of the vehicle.  That vehicle then fled and the cyclist was hospitalized in critical condition, where he remains.

The cyclist appears in the video below at the 1:35 mark.
