Young Woman Robbed On The Side Of The Road

Georgetown – The Delaware State Police said that on Thursday September 8, 2016 at approximately 12:00 a.m., as a 21-year old female pedestrian was walking westbound on the shoulder of SR 404 after leaving her place of employment in Georgetown.

The woman observed a newer model sports car pass her and then make a U-turn before pulling up behind her and parking along the shoulder. Police said that four male subjects exited the vehicle and confronted the woman, threatening to harm her with a gun, although no weapon was ever displayed.  One of the suspects then pushed her and removed her purse before the four re-entered the car and drove south on Gravelly Branch Road, according to police. The victim was uninjured in the incident.

Police said the suspects where all described as white males and were in a newer model sports car with a rear spoiler.
