Man Arrested for Sale of Oxycodone

 

Bear – The New Castle County Police, FBI Safe Streets Task Force charged Kelvin Daughtry, 30, from the 200 block of White Pine Court in Bear with selling Oxycodone, according to New Castle County Spokeswoman Corporal Tracey Duffy

Duffy said officers from the FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrested Daughtry on Monday, September 26th in the area of Peoples Plaza after observing him conduct a drug transaction.  Daughtry was charged later that day with multiple counts of drug related offenses.

On Wednesday, 10/5/2016,  officers were conducting surveillance in Amberwood and observed Daughtry conduct two additional drug transactions, according to Duffy.  Authorities said he was taken into custody without incident where officers located 1-30mg Oxycodone tablet along with suspected drug proceeds on his person.

A search warrant was later conducted at his home where officers found 16-Oxycodone 30mg,  2-Oxycodone 15mg, 15-Carisprodol 350mg, 1-   Ampetamine, 1 -Hydrocodone, 1 -Alprazolam, 3-Non-controlled prescribed medication and suspected drug proceeds according to Duffy.

Kelvin Daughtry was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and five counts of possession of a controlled substance.  He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of posting $45,000 cash bail.
