Newark 7-11 Robbed At Gunpoint

Newark Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Newark area 7-11 store that occurred early Thursday morning, according to police.

Police said the initial investigation has determined that the incident happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016, as a male suspect entered the 7-11 located at 100 Four Seasons Parkway, Newark.

The suspect then approached the sales counter and presented a demand note for cash to the male clerk, police said. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen fleeing in a southbound direction. There were no injuries. A weapon was not implied or displayed.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years of age. He was 5’10” tall, weighed 150-180 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes.
