Pike Creek K-Mart Robbed

Pike Creek Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of the Pike Creek Kmart store which occurred Thursday night, according to state police.

Police said the initial investigation has determined that the incident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016, as a male suspect entered the Kmart store located at 4700 Limestone Road, Wilmington. The suspect then approached a female cashier from behind and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from her open cash register drawer, police said.

Troopers said the suspect then attempted to exit the store, however, he was grabbed by the cashier. He was subsequently able to free himself from the cashier and flee from the store and was last observed entering the passenger side of an unknown make and model vehicle which then fled the parking lot. A weapon was not displayed and there were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male. He was 5’10”-6’01” tall, weighed 170-190 lbs., and had brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, gray long-sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. There is no further physical or clothing description available.
