Dover – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of two teens near Rodney Village that occurred early Friday evening.
Police said that just before 9:00 p.m., on Friday, September 30, 2016, two male teenagers, one 17 and the other 14, were walking in the area of the 1000 block of Nathaniel Mitchell Road when two males approached them from behind.
The subjects grabbed the two teens by the necks and demanded items from their pockets. One of the teen turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and a ring, while the other teen did not have any items. The two suspects then fled the area in an unknown direction. The two teens were not injured.
The first suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, The second suspect was described as a black male wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
The teens also stated a third suspect was in the area and met up with the two after the robbery, but no description could be given. No weapons were displayed or implied by any of the suspects.
