Driver Crashes Into His Home

New Castle – New Castle County Police said that on Monday evening 11/21/2016 at approximately 11:10 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to a home in Saddlebrook for an accident.  When officers arrived they learned a Dodge Charger had struck the front of a townhouse.

Officers learned the 32-year-old operator believed he put the car in reverse before he pressed the accelerator in an attempt to reverse out of the driveway.  Instead, the driver drove forward and into the front of the home.

A New Castle County Code Inspector responded to the scene and deemed the home unsafe for habitation.  Officers do not believe alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in this accident.
