Dover – Two Dover men were charged after fleeing from police when they were occupying a stolen vehicle, according to Dover Police spokesman M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Hoffman said that Dover police officers located a stolen Chrysler Sebring in the area of North DuPont Highway and Scarborough Road and followed the vehicle to the Capital Inn, where they attempted to stop the car.
At that time, three men fled on foot from the vehicle, according to Hoffman. Tywon Peace (21) and Taheem Holmes (18) were apprehended during the foot chase. The third suspect remains at large at this time. Officers said that they located a loaded .22 caliber revolver near the area that Peace was taken into custody.
Tywon Peace was committed to JTVCC on $17,500 cash bond and charged with resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, concealed deadly weapon, possession of firearm with obliterated serial number and conspiracy 2nd degree.
Taheem Holmes was committed to JTVCC on $3,004 cash and charged with resisting arrest, receiving stolen property, conspiracy 2nd degree and criminal impersonation.
