Dover – The Dover Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit arrested Donald Redd (36-year-old) after he allegedly attempted to rape an 8-year-old child. The child victim is not Redd’s child, but the child of an acquaintance of Redd’s and is in the care of the parent.
Redd was committed to JTVCC on $40,000 cash bond for Attempted rape 1st degree and Attempted sexual abuse by a person of trust 1st degree.
Dover Police did not disclose where the attempted rape took place in order to protect the victim’s identity, Hoffman said.
