Laurel – The Delaware State Police have arrested two people after information was received about guns and stolen property inside a residence in Hollybrook Apartments, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.
Fournier said that on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, around 12:04 p.m., troopers assigned to the Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) team, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT), conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Hollybrook Apartments after information was gathered about illegal guns and stolen property at the apartment.
Upon the troopers arrival, Anthony L. Hood, 48, and Denise Clark, 50, both of that address, were taken into custody without incident. Fournier said that the search revealed a .22 caliber rifle, .556 cal. rifle, 9mm revolver, and a BB gun, along with various rounds of ammunition and magazines.
Troopers also recovered two flat screen TVs and a sound bar that are linked to burglaries in the surrounding area, said Fournier. Troopers also located .285 grams of heroin, .16 grams of crack cocaine, and .55 grams of marijuana, said Fournier.
Anthony Hood and Denise Clark were transported back to Troop 5 where they were both charged with five counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Conspiracy 2nd, Receiving Stolen Property, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hood was additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana. They were arraigned at JP2 and committed to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $28,600.00 cash (Hood) and $28,500.00 cash (Clark).
