Traffic Stop Leads To 740 Bags Of Heroin

Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested two men on drug charges on Wednesday following a traffic stop and search warrant of a storage unit, according to Dover Police Spokesman M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said that Shakir Swain and Dante Sykes were taken into custody during a traffic stop when police found Swain to be in possession of marijuana and the pair to be in possession of $6,087 in cash.

Further investigation led to officers obtaining a search warrant for a storage unit at Secure Storage located at 640 Lafferty Lane in Dover. That search led to the discovery of 740 bags (11.1 grams) of heroin, 28.4 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to Hoffman
