Wilmington – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a North Wilmington area pharmacy that occurred last night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.
Hale said that at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017, as a man entered the Walgreens pharmacy, located at 2119 Concord Pike in Wilmington, and presented the female sales clerk with a demand note for cash.
The note also implied that the suspect was armed, however, a weapon was not displayed, said Hale. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him, according to Hale. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen running in a northbound direction through the parking lot. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male. He was 18-20 years of age, 5’07”-5’09” tall, weighed 150-170 lbs., and was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark-colored jeans, black shoes, and had a mask covering a portion of his face.
This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
