Dover – Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man and charged him in connection with a series of burglaries that have occurred during the past month, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.
Hale said that on Friday, January 27, 2017, Delaware State Police Burglary unit detectives arrested Brandon Marshall, 30, of Dover, at a home located in the 200 block of Denny Street, Leipsic, without incident.
Detectives had developed Marshall as a suspect in a series of burglaries that had occurred at residences located in the 5000 block of Bayside Drive, Dover, and the 300 block of Marshtown Road, Dover during the month of January, said Hale.
During the burglaries, Marshall would enter sheds or barns located on the properties and proceed to remove power equipment and tools from inside. Once he obtained the property, Marshall would respond to local pawn shops and pawn the stolen items for cash, according to Hale.
Brandon Marshall was charged by detectives with three counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, three counts of Theft, Criminal Mischief, Theft by False Pretense, Falsifying Business Records, and Selling Stolen Property. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Institution in default of $16,100.00 secured bail. More Charges are expected.
