Man Dies 15 Days After Frederica Crash

Frederica – Troopers are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred back in December resulting in the death of a Frederica man, according to Delaware State Police Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said that around 9:04 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2016, as Glode Requa, 92 of Frederica, was operating a 2009 Toyota Camry eastbound on Barratts Chapel Road east of Otter Way. Requa was attempting to negotiate a left curve when he lost control and veered off the north side of the roadway, striking a dirt embankment with the front bumper. The Camry then continued eastbound striking a guardrail with the driver’s side of his vehicle.

Glode Requa, who was properly restrained, was transported by EMS to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital (KGH) where he was admitted in critical condition. He died on Wednesday January 10, 2017.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident.
