Middletown Restaurant Robbed At Gunpoint

Middletown – Middletown Police are investigating the robbery of the Sino Gardens Restaurant that occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at approximately 8:15 p.m., according to Middletown Police Department Spokesman Captain Michael J. Iglio.

Iglio said that Middletown Police responded to the Sino Garden Chinese Restaurant located at 749 N. Broad Street in reference to an armed robbery. Just before 8:15 p.m an unknown subject entered the restaurant and displayed a firearm at a female employee, said Iglio.

The employee fled to the rear of the business and was unharmed. The suspect then removed approximately $15.00 from a tip jar and attempted to openthe register before fleeing the scene, according to Iglio.

The subject is described as being approximately 5’7”-5’9” tall, approximately 160-175 pounds, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a black jacket over top, black pants, black ski mask, dark hat, black shoes, and black gloves with an unknown light color symbol on top.
