Late Night Shooting In New Castle Leaves Man In Serious Condition

New Castle – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting which occurred late last night in New Castle, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

new-castle-shootingHale said that the investigation began at approximately 11:15 p.m. yesterday, Friday, February 17, 2017, after troopers responded to the 700 block of Grantham Lane for the report of a shooting which had occurred.

As troopers arrived they were advised that a 24-year-old male victim had been shot in his abdomen. The victim was treated at the scene by New Castle County Paramedics before being transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was admitted with serious injuries.

The investigation into this incident is in its early stages. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified at this time.
