Milford – On February 16, 2017 at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to a report of suspicious vehicles in the 500 Block of Marshall Street, according to Milford Police Spokesman Detective Timothy Maloney.
Maloney said that units made contact with a Black Kia Optima occupied by Tanner King, 21 of Lincoln and a Blue Nissan Versa occupied by Jacob Morgan, 22 of Milford. The Nissan Versa was also occupied by a David Mccormick, 22 of Milford, and 2 females, said Maloney.
Further investigation revealed that Jacob Morgan first gave officers a fake name, but was later identified as Jacob Morgan, who was wanted out of the following courts: Kent County Superior Court, Kent County Family Court, and Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, according to Maloney.
Investigation also revealed that Mccormick was wanted out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas and Justice of the Peace Court 7, said Maloney. Both Morgan and Mccormick were arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2.
Morgan was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $11,000 cash bail and $341.00 secured bail. Morgan was given further court dates in the respective courts that had warrants for his arrest. Morgan was also issued a criminal summons for criminal impersonation and was given a court date at Justice of the Peace Court 6 for 02/28/2017. Mccormick was released on unsecured bail.
When officers made contact with Tanner King, they observed drug paraphernalia inside of his vehicle, black Kia Optima, said Maloney. Further investigation showed that King had approximately 41.4 grams of suspected marijuana concealed on his person as well as other drug paraphernalia located inside of his vehicle, according to Maloney.
King was issued a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Marijuana Related and was given a court date in Justice of the Peace Court 6 for 02/28/2017.
