Theft Investigation Leads To Arrest In Milford

 

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at approximately 11:05 pm, a victim reported a unauthorized use of a debit card to the Milford Police Department, according to Milford Police Spokesman Mikhail Stanton.

Stanton said that the victim told officers they were notified by their bank of various suspicious transactions after realizing that they lost their card. Investigation by officers revealed that Jacob Ziegler 24, of Milford was reportedly the subject making those unauthorized transactions, said Stanton.

As a result of the investigation a warrant was obtained for Ziegler from the Justice of The Peace Court # 2.

On Wednesday, February 23, 2017 officers learned of Zieglers location, and responded to the 200 block of N. Rehoboth Blvd. Ziegler was taken into custody without incident at that time.

He was charged with theft under $1500.00 where the victim is over 62-years-old and unlawful use of a payment card under $1500.00 where a victim is over 62-years-old.

He was arraigned at the Justice of The Peace Court #2 and released on $2000.00 unsecured bail.
