Hockessin- New Castle County Police have arrested 34-year-old Emeilio Rivera and 25-year-old Sergio Rivera-Norris following an investigation into burglaries that occurred in Hockessin and North Wilmington, according to New Castle County Police Spokesman J.P. Piser.
Piser said that last week, week of Feb 20, County Police responded to four burglaries in Hockessin and Northern Wilmington communities. Through the investigation, police obtained and released images and videos of a suspect and suspect vehicle, said Piser.
On Wednesday,March 1, 2017, an officer with the Mounted Patrol Unit observed the vehicle, conducted a stop and contacted the driver, Emeilio Rivera, and passenger, Sergio Rivera-Norris– both of the 100 block of King Pen Road in Nottingham, Pennsylvanian. Both men provided police with fictitious names and were arrested, according to Piser.

Detectives continued the investigation and developed evidence to implicate Emeilio Rivera in four burglaries; one on Old Wilmington Rd (Hockessin), two on Old Kennett Rd (Wilmington) and one on Smith Bridge Rd (Wilmington).

Emeilio Rivera was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of felony theft, misdemeanor theft, four counts of criminal mischief, second-degree forgery and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $50,000 cash only bail.
Sergio Rivera-Norris was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $8,500 cash only bail.
Both defendants were issued no contact orders with each other.
