Dover Cops Arrest Man In Feb. 7th Shooting Case

Dover- Dover Police have arrested a man in relation to the shooting of a 42-year-old man on February 7th, 2017, according to Dover Police Public Information Officer M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said the Gregory Scott was developed as a suspect in the case based on efforts made by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Dover Police Department.  Scott was observed walking in the area of S. New Street on February 24th and arrested without incident.

Back on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at 6:43 p.m. the Dover Police Department was investigating the shooting of a 42-year-old man.

Hoffman said that officers responded to S. New Street for a report of shots fired. While officers were on scene, information was received that the victim had driven himself to Kent General Hospital.

The victim was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was hospitalized as a result of those injuries.

Gregory Scott was committed to JTVCC in default of $172,000 cash bond on the following and charged with Attempted Murder 1st Degree, Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
and Reckless Endangering (2x).
