Georgetown – Georgetown Police have arrested two Delaware men after they committed a robbery in Georgetown, Delaware, according to Georgetown Police Public Information Officer, Detective Joey Melvin.
Melvin said that at approximately 2:14 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017, Georgetown Police responded to a call for a robbery near the 500 block of North Bedford Street in Georgetown. Police learned that the victim was approached by two suspects who grabbed him and demanded money, said Melvin.
The victim was initially restrained by the suspects before he eventually freed himself and ran to a nearby business to call police, according to Melvin.
Multiple area police agencies responded to the scene to search for the suspects. Georgetown Police were joined by the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force, a Delaware Capitol Police K-9 Unit along with Delaware Probation and Parole.
Melvin said that the two suspects were seen running behind a business on North Bedford Street before being apprehended.
26-year-old Leron Parham of Millsboro, Delaware was arrested for Attempted Robbery 2nd degree and conspiracy. Parham was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of a total $7000.00 secured bond.
26-year-old Devin Gray of Lincoln, Delaware was arrested for Attempted Robbery 2nd degree and conspiracy. Gray was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of a total $7000.00 secured bond.
