New Castle – In February, New Castle County Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Adele Place in Collins Park for the theft from a car left unsecured during the overnight hours, according to New Castle County Police Spokeswoman CPL Tracey Duffy.
Duffy said that officers arrived and learned the victim received a telephone call from her credit card company regarding a fraudulent transaction. After the call her husband went to the car to retrieve her wallet and found the car ransacked and her wallet missing, said Duffy. Upon further observation, the victim also realized a ring left inside the vehicle was also taken.
An officer responded to the gas station located in the 2000 block of New Castle Avenue and retrieved surveillance footage of the two suspects found using the credit card, according to Duffy.
The first suspect is described as an African-American male, 22-28 years of age, black hair, red or orange jacket with fur and black athletic pants and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as an African-American male, 22-28 years of age, black hair, facial hair, with black and white sneakers, and a red hooded sweatshirt.
Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspects to please contact Officer Tyndal by dialing (302) 573-2800.
