Wilmington – Just 45 minutes after a 39-year-old man was shot to death on Marshall Street Wilmington Police responded to another shooting just two miles away. Police said that at approximately 9:35 p.m. officers responded to the 1000 Block of Lombard Street in reference to a shots fired Investigation.
Arriving police units located a scene outside of a residence located in the 1000 block of Lombard Street, however no victim was located, according to police.
Police learned that a 20-year-old man was driven to the Wilmington Hospital Emergency Room in a private vehicle.
The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right hand. The victim is described as being in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation. Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective Jordan Merced at 302-576-3637.
Police have not indicated if the two shootings are related or just coincidental.

Wilmington – Wilmington Police are currently investigating the death of a 39-year-old man that occurred last night, Wednesday March 8, 2017 at approximately 8:49 p.m., according to Wilmington Police.
Officials said that Officers responded to the area of Cedar and Marshall Streets in reference to reports of a person down, possibly shot. Arriving units located a man in the 900 block of Marshall Street who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room where he was pronounced deceased.
