13 Vehicle Pile-Up Shuts Down I-295 In Delaware, 10 In Hospital

Wilmington – Just after 10:00 a.m.  his morning New Castle County Paramedics, Holloway Terrace, Minquadale, Minquas, and Wilmington Manor Fire Companies were dispatched to I-495 and I-295 Northbound for a motor vehicle crash involving 13 vehicles, according to New Castle County Paramedics Spokeswoman Yvonne Russell.

Russell said that arrivng County Paramedics found a multiple vehicle crash with 11 injuries. All 11 patients were assessed for their injuries and no patients needed Advanced Life Support care. 7 patients were transported to Christiana Hospital. 3 patients were transported to Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. 1 patient refused to be transported. Responding fire companies transported via ambulance.
