County Police Investigate Shooting After Man Arrives At Hospital

Elsmere – New Castle county Police are currently investigating a shooting that injured a 26-year-old man in the community of Lancaster Village.

This Morning, April 17, at about 1:30 a.m., County Police were dispatched to the area of Lancaster Village for a shots fired report. Officers checked the area but did not locate a victim.

The victim was later located at an area hospital suffering an apparent gunshot wound; he was transported there by personal vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Detectives responded to the scene, located on Faulkland Rd in the area of RT 100, and have assumed the investigation.

This is an active and ongoing investigation; further information will be released as it becomes available.
