Man In Stable Condition After Being Shot In Wilmington, #61

Wilmington – On Thursday April 20, 2017 at approximately 8:26 p.m. Wilmington Police Department patrol units responded to the area of 2nd and Connell Streets ( 1 block from Lancaster Ave.) in reference to a subject shot, according to Wilmington Police. Officers located a 20-year-old black male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg in the 100 block of N. Connell Street.

This subject was treated at the scene and transported to the Christiana Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Just after 8:30 p.m. tonight Wilmington rescue crews were dispatched to Lancaster Ave in Wilmington for reports of a shooting. Reports from the scene indicate that the victim was shot in the leg. This is the 61st shooting in Wilmington this year and the 3rd under the new chief.
