Three Charged With Attempted Robbery In Georgetown

Georgetown – This morning, Thursday April 13, 2017, Georgetown Police were dispatched to a fight in progress near the 100 block of South Race Street, according to Public Information Officer Detective Joey Melvin.

Melvin said that when officers arrived on scene, they learned from the victim that three suspects knocked on the victim’s door and when opened, the suspects began to assault the victim and demand money.

The suspects involved in the fight were initially reported to have fled the area. Further investigation by Georgetown Police resulted in the successful location and apprehension of all three suspects still inside the victim’s residence, according to Melvin.  The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault.

George Hallett, 42, of Georgetown was arrested for Attempted Robbery 1st degree, Conspiracy 2nd degree, and Assault 3rd degree.

 

Enoch Williams, 25, of Seaford was arrested for Attempted Robbery 1st degree, Conspiracy 2nd degree, and Assault 3rd degree.

Lorichia Camper, 27, of Georgetown was arrested for Attempted Robbery 1st degree, Conspiracy 2nd degree, and Assault 3rd degree.

All three suspected were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $12,500 secured bond.
