Dover Man Gunned Down In His Home This Morning, Multiple Shots

Dover – The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation into the shooting death of a 44-year-old man, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Gary Fournier.

Fournier said the incident occurred around 2:35 a.m. this morning, Wednesday May 3, 2017, after numerous 9-1-1 calls were placed advising of a subject shot inside “B” building located within Alder Park Apartments at 51 Webbs Lane in Dover.  Troopers, Dover Police, and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and located a 44-year-old man inside his apartment unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by Kent County Paramedics and his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation by conducting interviews and collecting evidence at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.  Additional information and investigative details will be disseminated as soon as it becomes available and the investigation progresses.  No suspects have been identified.
