Wilmington – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area gas station that occurred last night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.
Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred Monday, May 1, 2017 at approximately 9:35 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Star Gas and Diesel, located at 3927 Kirkwood Highway.
The suspect approached the sales counter where he then displayed a knife and demanded money from the cash register, according to Hale. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to him. The suspect then exited the store and was last seen fleeing on foot towards Evelyn Drive. The clerk was not injured.
The suspect was described as a white male. He was 5’10”-6’02” tall, weighed 160-180 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, dark shoes, and had a mask partially covering his face.
