Two Motorcycles Crash Near Delaware City, One Flown To Hospital

Delaware City – At approximately 4:00 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware City and Port Penn Volunteer Fire Companies were dispatched to the 4000 block of Wrangle Hill Road for a motor vehicle crash involving 2 motorcyclists, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, County Paramedics witnessed two patients. The first patient, 59-year-old male, was found to have head and leg injuries. The patient was treated on scene for injuries and transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter.

The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport. The second patient, a 57-year-old male, was found to have head, leg and arm injuries, said Russell. The patient was treated on scene for injuries and transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware City Fire Company ambulance. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
