Update To Shooting At A Street and Chapel Street

Wilmington – On Sunday May 14, 2017 at approximately 8:04 p.m., a Wilmington Police Officer on routine patrol was approached in reference to a possible shooting victim in the area of A Street and N. Chapel Street.

The officer located a 50-year-old male victim at the described location. The victim was found to be suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his legs and lower back areas. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Wilmington Police did not say whether a vehicle was involved as initially reported.
