101st Shooting Victim In Critical After Being Shot In The Chest Overnight


Wilmington – On June 14, 2017 at approximately 11:02 p.m., Wilmington Police Officer’s responded into the 200 block of N. Lincoln Street in reference to calls of a possible shooting victim in the area.

Arriving officers located a 34-year-old male victim seated on the steps of a residence in the block. The male was suffering from an apparent gunshot wounds to his chest, right lower leg, and right arm areas.

Officers rendered aid to the victim until the arrival of EMS and New Castle County Paramedics. The victim was transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room in critical condition.

Assisting police officers located a shooting scene in the 1800 block of Conrad Street. The circumstances surrounding the shooting incident remain under investigation. Anyone with information relative to this investigation is asked to call Detective William Ball at 302-576-3692.
